Journey Map
What is this?
A journey map is a method for visually charting the experience of a person as they move through a process.
When should I use this?
Journey maps are best used to understand how a person currently interacts with a service or how they could potentially interact with a service. Consider using this when you want to see how a student or parent experiences a specific part of the education system.
More about this...
A journey map can tell you about the nature, duration, and frequency of a person’s interactions with the education system you’re studying. You can also layer in emotions like excitement or frustration. You might use a journey map to document the touchpoints that a parent has with a school regarding his or her child’s special education plan. Here and here are two journey map examples and a template to get you started.
